A Morning Walk of Reflection Every morning, as part of my daily routine, I take a 20-minute walk to clear my mind and set my intentions for the day. This ritual is not just about physical exercise, but a mental one too, where I can think, reflect, and prepare for the challenges that lie ahead. One morning, about three-quarters of the way through my walk, I encountered a significant obstacle. A large tree had fallen, completely blocking my path. As I stood there contemplating my next move, I realized I had three options: I could turn back and retrace my steps, I could take the road to the left, or I could simply find a way around the fallen tree. Lesson 1: Assess the Situation In business, as in life, obstacles are inevitable. When faced with a challenge, the first step is to assess the situation. Is this obstacle something that can be moved, like the fallen tree, or does it require a detour? Understanding the nature of the problem is crucial. At Ikigai Digital, we encounter various hurdles, from technological glitches to client concerns. By taking a moment to analyze the situation, we can determine the best course of action. Lesson 2: Adapt and Overcome Once I had assessed the tree, I realized that simply going around it was a viable option. In business, adaptability is key.
